Four in a Row
I have been very lazy this weekend, I think. Did some cleaning of drawers and things, got some tires for the car, did some Christmas shopping on line, went to the mall (yes, Sassy, to the mall). What a mess the mall is! We got a new Nordstroms, Tiffanys, some other very up scale stores and people are flocking to the mall. Add to that the sales for Veteran's Day. I came home last night determined to never go to the mall again. At least until the end of January. And people are rude, they really are. Fighting over sale items. I thought that security would have to be called, but they calmed down somewhat. I went to a neat website for kids. It's highlights.com and it has a great selectio of toys for kids. And the toys are arranged by age. I think between that and publisher.com I have all my Christmas presents done. Today the car was in the shop all day, so Ava and I hung out, reading, watching Judge Judy and going for a walk. Oh, and watching Boston Legal on line. It wasn't on in Pittsburgh last week, so I had to pull it from their website. I laughed till I cried. What a wonderful show, and now it will be going off the air. Four days off in a row is a wonderful thing. Very relaxing and restful. And for all those who served or are serving in the military, thanks very much.

Oh, my heavens, be still my heart. The mall. HOW, mia, can you be negative about it? It is truly a wonderful experience. Fighting for that last piece of merchandise in your size. The joy of winning the tug of war. AND getting 70% off. Your cat looks exhausted. Did she go shopping with you? Don't mention tires, I have to get some before the flakes fall.
Prrrrrrrr.
Thanks for the website, Mia, I just ordered presents for the neices and nephews! I'm with you, Sassy, you will have to travel the mall without me. Kitty keeps changing her name, is that so she doesn't have to cheer?
I agree Ben, let the women hit the mall. I drop my wife off and pick her up during the holidays so she doesn't have to park. I think Kitty doesn't want to be associated with either us or the Steelers. One or the other, what do you vote for Ben?
The earache is gone, and she sleeps peacefully. Four days off sounds wonderful, Mia. But so does a good night's sleep. Sassy, I like your attitude, but the mall at this time of the year is AWFUL. Sleep well everyone, I think I will for the first time in several nights. I wish instead of my kids being sick that I would be sick, but it's only an earache, so forgive my craziness. It's a lack of sleep I'm sure. Your cat looks so tired, Mia. I can relate.
Mia, love the picture of the mural, it is one of my favorites and I love that it blends right in with the houses around it!
That is such an unusual picture, Mia. It really looks like another house. What a talent! We have murals in the city, and the talent is amazing, and what a canvas.
That is quite a neat pic of the mural. I haven't even begun to think of Christmas shopping, but I did visit the site, thanks for the tip, it looks great.
I'm all done shopping and most of it is wrapped and ready to go out of town. Don't have to shop a whole lot now, the kids are big enough to want money. But I still start early so that I can sit back and enjoy Christmas.
If, I have to go to the mall, I try to do it very early and get the heck out of there before the nuts show up.
Aren't holidays wonderful!!!
Been busy winterizing the yard and house. Miss summer already. Still trying to use up the Halloween candy. Just had to chop up Snickers bars to add them to a double fudge brownie recipe. That should help with the winter doldrums. Glad your daughter's earache is getting better, Cathy. I know how problematic they can be.
Will insure to get a good cat nap in this weekend. Pretty sure that I can make things right, Benji (and Bill), this Sunday at 4:15 p.m.
