The Good Things

I don't want to say too much about the election, just that when I said to my co-worker that it's was quite a night and one to remember, she said, "it certainly was, it certainly was". She then came back to me and said, "I am going to the cemetary at lunchtime to tell my mother and father". It was truly a historic event, and I do hope we can all pull together to make some changes...the course is a tough one.
When I have a busy day at work, I try to think of good things. Today it was Bean's opening night tonight. She is in Cinderella at the Byham Theater and I can't wait. I called Z Florist and told him that I needed a "presentation bouquet", which he did beautifully as always. I told him I am coming to work for him. His florist shop is one of the most peaceful places in the world. And what a talent he has. I love to go in there, said I would work for nothing! (I didn't really mean that, of course....well, maybe I would).
There was a brief (?) period of discussion about speeding tickets at work. I've gotten two in my life and both were traumatic. People all say that I drive fast, but I don't think so. I made it home in eighteen minutes tonight.
Gasoline is $2.45 a gallon. Interesting, isn't it? Wonder what happened to bring it down. It was nice to fill my tank for less than $30.
Well, I am leaving now to go see Cinderella. It is a wonderful thing to see, Bean on stage doing something she loves. It's been a very busy week, with football, the election and now the theater. But it's been a nice one, too. Have a great evening!

Finally the election is over! And it was history making. I think I would like to work in a garden center if I could do whatever I wanted to do. I've gotten a few tickets in my time, a couple for speeding, mostly on the interstates. They seem to be the highways where I forget how fast I am going.

The conversation would have been shorter if the police would just let sleeping dogs lie! Mia thinks I drive like a snail, though I was greatful she let me follow her home anyway. I think I drive like someone who wrecks a lot less than she used to.
Mia, you have inspired me to start my own blog... as soon as I think up a good name for it. I think I found it today though, so updates to come. Thank you for your bottomless kindness and I wish Bean all the best tonight and for many more ahead in her performances!

I love that gasoline is cheaper now, but I hope people continue to conserve since I think that is the reason it came down in price. As for the election, I'm glad you didn't get into it too much here. Enough of it on TV and the real world. I am glad it is over, and I hope better things are coming. I would love to see Cinderella, it was my favorite! Does Bean dance in this one? The picture of her in motion is beautiful. I think ballet is so beautiful.

Wow, pretty neat about your co worker. I'm not much for musical theater or for ballet. But I think it is great that Bean is on stage, especially if she likes it. I think I identify more with Monkeyboy and baseball. I've gotten a few speeding tickets in my time. More parking tickets, though. It happens when you live in the city. Thank goodness we finally got permit parking.

Seeing Cinderella for a performance beats sitting through a recital that takes four hours.

LOL, Bill, been there, done that! But when you look at those little ones, gosh, they make me laugh. There was one little girl who didn't dance at all, just stood there and finally picked her nose. The audience was rolling on the floor. I think her parents were the ones under the seats. Go for it Michele, I follow those blogs that Mia links us to. And Mia, let's get with this and blog daily. I look every morning and night to see what you have to say. I know, I have no life.

I am so glad the election is over, and it was historic in every sense of the word. We have some theater here, but not very much. We went to see Death of a Salesman a few months ago and it was good. I love musicals, unfortunately, my other half does not! Go, Bean. Break a leg.

I share her passion for theater.

You need to come to NYC, Elizabeth. We have so much theater here that you could go every night. It can be a great escape.
